I had the opportunity to continue my research on soil-inks by making some postcards for "The Women Gather" event during International Women's Day on 8th of March—organized by Eat Your Feelings Cinema, held at Nieuwe Instituut.
The soil was collected from the Nieuwe Instituut garden, then ground using various processes and converted into an ink suitable for screen printing. The postcards are thus tangible impressions of the place's natural habitat and serve as a carrier for an excerpt from the poem "The Women Gather" by Nikki Giovanni.
