What do the cities we live in sound like? What do these soundscapes we create and inhabit reveal to us? The sound installation explores the rich complexity of the soundscapes of different cities and examines our awareness of the sounds that surround us. Against the background of an increasingly noisy environment and the overabundance of acoustic information, it presents an alternative way of perceiving our cities by making nuances and subtleties of sound visible. As our cities continue to grow in size and density, so do your soundscapes. It therefore also questions how the soundscape of future cities can be shaped. By shifting the focus to our sense of hearing, we can improve the relationships between sound and our environment, as well as reconfigure our position within it.
